I don't know if this is a repeat, but I got tired of the clamping knob on the edge stops so I modified with a couple of cam clamps. They don't fit in the case as well anymore, but they are so much easier to use. http://www.roganknobs.com/camleverwithexternalthread.aspx

I used to hate the knobs on these stops too, they I found out I was using them wrong.  At a Festool end user training class Steve Base told me you only need to tighten the knobs once and then they can slip on/off, sorta a slip fit.
