I recently bought an LS130 linear sander along with several profiles.

The sander works well although a lot noisier than I expected. The sander works best with the vac dialed down to "Snail" (lowest suction setting).

My input is that the Sustainer for the sander is, in my opinion, too small. It accommodates the sander, but it is very difficult to cram in the power cord and get the lid down and fastened. I would suggest Festool put the sander in the next size up Sustainer.

I bought the Sustainer for the rectangular sand paper pieces. It works well for the profiles as well as for the sand paper.

I agree, Seth, as it is a linear sander it has a bit more rambunctious feel compared to orbitals, so I'll put two hands on her and take all the extraction I can get in the interest of abrasive peace.

Yup. Two hands most of the time. I like the suction all the way up  because it gathers the dust better on profiles and narrow pieces. I find that the front/ back balance of hand force has more to do with controlling it than suction level.

What was the old Burger King ad tag line .... "It takes two hands to handle a whopper."
