Making the Grain Stand out on Leopardwood

I'm making a coffee table with a leopardwood top. It's a dark and heavy wood with spots somewhat like the ray of quartersawn oak. It's similar to lacewood if you have seen that. I usually like a matte or satin finish when I do cherry pieces but I want to really accentuate the grain here and then polish it up. What would you recommend to make the grain stand out?

Since the grain is pronounced due to the same reason as QSWO (medullary rays) then anything you might choose to do to make the grain on QSWO pop out should work well here, too.
