Just purchased the Makita 10.8 Lithium Ion set for 129.95 at Home Depot.  Best price I've seen for the set.  Don't know if this is a weekend deal or what but I was happy to get the last set. ;D

That's a very nice set. I got one several months ago at Home Depot, also for $129.

I love the small size and they perform very well.

They are a steal at that price.  The ONLY problem I have with mine is that the batteries are Cold sensitive.  That and I tend to use both tools and thus always seem to have batteries going dead when i need em.  That being said they are the best driver combo for the money.
Thanks Craig

At that price I've considered a second set just to have more batteries. A single battery runs around $50.

The Makita handles much better than the Bosch, I had both now I only have the Makita. (Bought the Makita after the Bosch got stolen on a job site.) The Bosch is ok, but not in the same league as the Makita.
I bought the little Hitachi 10.8V for my girlfriends father and it is quite nice too, but hasn't the power of the Makita. The Hitachi can stand on the battery and has the best built in light and the best grip but the Makita does drilling better, is more powerful and all in all is the best choice of the three.

If you do not mind refurbished you can get the Makita two set 10.8V for 99.99 including shipping and no tax, with manufacturer's warranty. I got them and they work flawlessly.

A friend of mine got tired of having tools stolen on the job.  He had been doing as many others had done to give immediate ID of his tools.  Some would put a dab or a lot of red, green, blue, black or whatever paint on handles or bodies of tools.  Made no difference.  the tools would disappear.  finally, he started useing pink in rather copious quantities.  End of problem.

I use a lot of tie down straps to hold my equipment on my trailer.  even tho i have sturdy sides to contain, the DOT likes to see tiedowns.  At first, if I had to park in a public parking lot, they would grow wings.  when I started buying pink tiedown straps (the ratcheting type), they seemed to stay attached to whatever they had been attached to by me.

I still say get them refurbished I am happy with mine and they are still only 101.00 including shipping.

If you want them looking spanking shiny new they will not be, but they will be under factory warranty and I have used mine for 6 weeks now and am very happy for the 99.99 I paid.

Here is a link:

They are 129.99 then put in the code as shown at the page link and they come out to 101.00 and make sure YOU CHOOSE free shipping.

They have a similar deal for two 18 V with the 18 V light for 199.99 including shipping. OOPS they ran out of the 18 V darn it I waited to long!
