I have a 2040 Makita planer that the chip breaker seems to catch on the board as it goes into the machine, even on a lite cut. Is there an adjustment on the chip breaker and pressure plate or could it be bent, maybe that's causing the problem. Could I have the knives set at the wrong height and something else is catching as the board enters the machine. How do you replace the chip breaker and pressure plate if that's the problem?
