Concept is good, but the picture in that link looks less than ideal ergonomically. Poor battery housing design and the battery is too big. I would want to see the same little battery that powers the CXS drill. 40 minutes of sanding time for a painter is not much. We often go 6 hours a day. I would need 6 batteries and a 20 min recharge time. It looks kind of bulky which goes against the convenience factor of cordless tools. And then, there is something unattractive about a sander with a bag on it.

That said, the concept of a cordless sander is great. For that occasional time when you have to climb up a staging tower and hit that one spot in the gable peak. Clip to belt and go. So, Festool, I would like an ets90 with the cxs battery slipped into it and a belt clip.

lol take it you wont buy one of these then.

edited:   Just watched the video are you in the video?!?!?

edited: Just watched the all videos  doesnt look da bad that cordless spray gun.   When I first saw it I thought man da is going to be crap.

i ended up with one of these 2nd hand. they are actually really powerful little tools. the price point just went down which is good as there's no way i'd think about one at $700

Yeah just been watching the videos it has some spray 12''  which pretty big for a cordless and watching the videos it  sprays pretty thick stuff.

If it was available in UK at a good price I would consider it.

JMB

There is a sister to it that is over there. It is black, I cant think of the name of it just now, but its the same rig.

Identical?  or a cheap knock off or older model to this one  version 2

I dont know if the new version is over there, but I do know that they made them hand in hand in the first generation. The junk stuff that they dont want to sell here ends up in canada  [big grin] Kidding!

Actually this is nothing new.
Makita used to have one back in the 80's !   Stick battery! remember?!
Can't recall what type of sander it was.

I had one of them, loved it for doing stairs to sand the riser skirtboard mitre joint, would leave it on the staircase as I went up, no cord to trip on.Think it was a 1/3rd sheet
