I received an e-mail on this saw a couple weeks ago and was wondering if anyone has experience using it.

Unfortunately I purchased a similar model last year but without the track saw rail capability.

Thanks

I broke down and bought this saw (gave the similar one w/o the guide rail groove to my son).

I used it on a project that required lots of cutting this weekend. I matched it up with a 39" Makita rail and TSO's GRS/TPG. Never thought I'd say this (based on my previous long experience with Eurekazone track system with standard saw) but I like my "plunge" saw much better on the rail. It really gets to be a pain to have to start the saw at the start of the rail and push hard enough to get the rail to open the spring loaded  blade guard and then wiggle the saw a bit to get the rear guide rail cam to engage.

Might be a good choice for thicker wood but not for 1x lumber.

From what I've seen from instagram, Japanese carpenters cut like everything with guides and keep the guards tied back on the saws or remove them completely.
