I am making 6 8' high cabinets of varying widths, but the depth of 15 3/4" will remain the same.  I am making them out of 3/4" pre-finished birch plywood with poplar face frames, drawers and drawer fronts.  I have had my Festool parallel guides for over a year now and have added the 1 1/4" aluminum squares on the adjustable piece (ala Ron Paulk).  I was simply amazed at how easy they were to use, and superbly accurate on every cut.  I had debated about purchasing the Woodpecker OTT, and am really pleased that I did not.

One additional thing I am thinking of adding is a small needle painted black and superglued to the adjustable block so I can mark easier on the mm scale.

This will take me some time, but I'll post pictures of the finished product when done.  I don't have video, so they will just be snap shots.  Bill

Looking for the Paulk mod you referenced but am having trouble...I think.  Are you referring to the supports for longer material?  Can you drop some pictures (if you don't mind)?

Picks of project progress would be cool too!  I'm starting in on a similar job for our master.

Thanks

Awesome, that's what I thought you were referring to.  Wanted to make sure there wasn't another trick I didn't know about. Thanks!

I am going to add supports, like the ones Paulk has, but they will be acrylic, not aluminium — you need to be able to check the fit.
