I was looking to restock my sandpaper supply for my RO150 and I came across a Mestool brand sandpaper being sold on Amazon for less than half the Festool price. Claims to be Granat abrasive, looks like the right hole pattern, has 2 suspiciously positive reviews... I've googled Mestool and don't find much info other than it's probably Taiwanese. Has anyone bought and used this stuff? Is it a cheap Chinese knockoff or could it be the same paper rebranded and being sold cheap on amazon...?

Mestool? What a nicely inconspicuous name. I'm expecting Mestool sanders hit the market soon.

To be fair there is another sandpaper from the same company with 300 positive reviews over 14 month period, normally distributed.

I'll wait for the Grestool.
[popcorn] [dead horse] [thumbs up]

One does not know unless they try, but they could even make the paper that is rebranded FT.

The best money saver in my opinion is Indasa Rhynogrip RedLine. 40% of the Festool price and 80% of it's durability. Good paper to work with.

So I bought a box, because I have to know... plus amazon's return policy is pretty good. I'll post some pics and compare to the Festool stuff this weekend.
