Doing a bunch of shelves for example............
Line up a row of clamps on bench head standing in vertical position.
Spread glue on edges. Place banding on shelf edge. Shoot a pin at each end to keep banding in place (if long maybe one in center). Place shelf in clamps. Add strip of waxed paper at glue line (keeps shelves from being glued together). Place next shelf right on top of first and so on. Tighten clamps.
I stack the shelves alternating so the banding over width evens out and pieces are square to the clamp face.
If you don't want the pins for visibility reasons or whatever. Go with the router profiles, or tape , or something to keep the banding from moving while you get it in the clamps. This goes fast if you have your parts all set.
The pieces in the pictures are just for example. So the banding is not pinned or glued , etc.
