Hi All,
Went to see the new tools yesterday at JLC Live in Long Beach since I wasn't having any luck trying to see them at Rocker, etc. I had a specific need I was wanting to see if it would do and became disappointed that it didn't appear that it could. I was looking to have it replace my Bosch Colt if it could rout better and minimize/eliminate the chance of damaging the finished surface and control the mess. I on occasion (one per month) install Laminate counter tops and have to install end caps. Below is a picture of the profile that I'm trying to rout. None of the router bases appear to work in this configuration to use any of their neat features and when used like the colt the dust collection shroud won't turn that inside corner. I had the guys trying to help out because I'd assumed that could have been an intended purpose of the tool but it doesn't look so. Can anyone take a look at theirs and see if there is a way to do it and use dust control. Until then I'll have to stick with the Colt and holding the Vac hose to it.
