MFK 700 turns on for about 10 sec and then shuts off

I just boxed up my very expensive MFK 700 and shipped it off to Indiana. I bought it in 2017 just outside the warranty window. I think I used it about 3 or 4 times. But thanks to my 99.00 porta cable router that is about 20 years old I was able to finished the job. I am hoping that this doesn't happen to my DF500 since I believe it uses the same motor.

I'm sorry to hear about your MFK 700.  Not enough details for anyone to speculate on the root cause, but it might be from lack of use, depending on how it was stored?  Definitely not what someone would expect, though.

I would imagine that if you use your DF500 on a regular basis, it probably won't suffer a similar fate to the MFK if it was truly only used 3 or 4 times in 3 1/4 years.

Any pictures of the project you finished out with the PC Router or that you've worked on with your Domino?

I don't know where you're getting this information from as they are completely different motors. The Engineering trifecta of "Form, Fit & Function" are completely different in every instance. One's 420 watts while the other is 700 watts...I'm not taking this bait.  [smile]
