MFK 700: Which bits for vertical and horizontal base (edgebanding removal)?

Hi all,

The MFK 700 EQ/B-Plus (577312) only comes with the vertical base. From what I can tell, I can use it along with the Reversible Blade R1.5 Roundover Cutter (499810) to trim the excess edgebanding flush with the panel and do a 1.5mm radius at the same time. I've also seen people alternatively use the 1.5 degree horizontal base but I'm not sure which cutter they use in that. I assume it's not the Reversible Blade R1.5 Roundover Cutter. Which bit should I be using in the horizontal base to give me best results? And, does that bit + horizontal base generally give better results than the R1.5 bit in the vertical base? Trying to get the best results without having to do multiple passes/use different bits.

As an aside... I have the OF1010, the 18V Dewalt trimmer/router and various old Makita trimmer routers lying around. All if these have been inherited so I'm not entirely sure what's what and how they can be used/setup in place of the MFK 700.

Thanks!

By the way,
That is the only bit (it seems) , that can be used in the 1.5 or 0 deg base. Due to the length of the bit.
That’s unless you modify the base like Paul  Marcel has done.
Great results when it gets set up .

This bit will fit also. This is the bit I use when I’m vertical flush milling with the MFK 700.
