Well, I was on the phone to a UK dealer about a second MFT/3 and into my reader... Yes, MTF/3 Basic...

Alas, only in the US. The UK dealer had a FESTOOL rep with him (demo day) and he knew nothing of it...

So... Looks like you US guys have got the goodies first... Grrr

Correct code.

I have seen a couple MFT/3 Basic Promo Packages listed on the web.
Bundled with the MFT Clamp Set at $ 630.00.

Code M0079-495888.  If that is correct...

I have a new MFT/3 Basic. I bought a full MFT/3 and sold everything but the table on Ebay.

According to the latest Festool Sysnotes, that is the correct code.  But, I can't find the price in either Stsnotes or the web site.  It certainly will not be $639, since the "loaded" table price is $575.

The problem appears to be that the basic table is not available in the UK.  Would certainly not be worth it for him to buy it elsewhere and have it shipped to him even if that was a possibility.  He probably is better off as JimHart suggested, buying the fully equipped model and trying to sell off what he does need.

Does this mean it is NAIUK?

As far as I know it's not listed at other festool sites than the festoolusa site. But I know Anthony from Idealtools in Australia does deliver basic mft3's on request, and also mft-kapex as full mft's. So there might be other dealers that are willing to do so.

The obvious rhetorical  question is it worth the $ 100 savings over the full blown version?

The same thing applies to the add-on cms table to attach to the mft3 or the free standing unit. (Allthough I'm not sure they have the free standing (original) version in the US yet)

Vijay, I agree.

The extra $ 100.00 and you have a back up rail system, angle unit, and fence.
The price of the FS1080/2 alone is $ 75.50.
Another $100.00 and one has another complete MFT/3.  I would have to give serious consideration to that option, now.

At the $ 475.00 price, it would be great to have a pair of MFT Connectors - Product No. 484455, included in the package.

Wait and see if there are other promo packages to be offered.

haha- got the flyer or whatever about the "basic".  I know this stuff is expensive and i haven't the slightest regret about any Festool purchase- but I consider that the flag stop alone sells for $41- does that mean the angle unit, fence, and 42" rail are worth $59?  I know you always save money when buying a package (I would never buy a Ford one piece at a time) but this is kind of getting ridiculous.
