MFT/3 frame rail slot lube?

What lubrication do you use on the rail slots of the MFT?  I have a new MFT/3 and the parts and pieces are prone to bind as I install them.

Which slots? On the guide rail, a TS55 or the guide rail stops for the OF1400 router should not bind and I have never used any lube nor do I believe the manual says any is needed. If the saw does not slide easily on the guide rail, it's likely that the guides on the base of the saw need adjustment. The manual gives directions on this. Other than that, what "slots"?

Sorry for the confusion, I am not talking about the guide rail for the saw.  Using Festool vernacular I am talking about using some lubrication on and in the slots in the table's "Frame Profile" where you affix the "Swivel Unit, Support Unit, etc."

The issue is that the "Support and Swivel Units" do not slide as smoothly as they should through the "Frame Profile".

Like most, I have a few options for lubrication on hand in the shop already  Any experience would be appreciated.

I would not lube those parts. If anything, just take so wax paper and rub them to get some smoothness.

If you lube, those parts may slip when locked down.

Just my .02.

Cheers. Bryan.

Bryan, I dry lube many of my WW machines.  For example the fence on my table saw gets dry lubed and it holds fine and I would expect the same on the MFT.

Alphonse, I don't believe lube is the solution. Perhaps the screws that retain the plastic push-down handles need loosening? I know that on my MFT they can be awkward sometimes.

One other possibility is that the end of the profile is kinked slightly. This was the case on one edge of one of MFT 800s and it made it very difficult to slide anything into it.

I've never lubed any of the tracks on the frame and don't really feel there is a need on my table. I would check with service to be sure that lubing them won't create other issues such the slipping suggested. I have not read anything anywhere that lubrication should be required.

My biggest problem in moving things around on the MFT is usually due to escaped blobs of glue.
