MFT Clamp Storage Drawer

I had a set of drawer runners left over from a project, decided that the space beneath the MFT was perfect to store some clamps for MFT use.

The lid keeps sawdust out and with the drawer open but with lid down I can keep my saw or router on top if there's no room left on the MFT top.

That's a nice dual purpose design with the lid that turns the drawer into a shelf!  Is that a piano hinge you used on the lid?

Thanks, Mike A.

Real slick, and you've got more than enough room for the clamps to work in. Love the dual functionality.

Both the screw clamps and the squeeze clamps work fine with the drawer beneath. There's actually ample room to get the clamps down and in.

I agree Mr. Heavy.  this is by far the best and most useful MFT MOD i've seen.  You put it out there so I'm stealing it!  lol

just a question...how do you get your clamps in the table with the drawer in....pulling it out then puts the drawer in your work space. Maybe not putting the drawer on fixed slides may help. I know it would for me.
You could put a latch on the end to lock it closed and a drawer pull, so that you could stand it on end out the way while clamping on the MFT.
Just a thought.
