Having a lot of machinery in my workshop I unfortunately don't have the space for the MFT/3. The majority of my work (being a hobbyist) is done in the workshop, where I have previously utilized a perforated top for the out feed table from my table saw, very useful addition and also acts as a work table, very handy for using festool clamps etc.

My main workbench is a Sjoberg and I've been thinking of covering the top of the bench with a MFT perforated top, has anyone done this in the past?

If you mount the MFT style top to your workbench bear in mind that access from the bottom of the MFT top is needed to allow using the versatility of the quick clamps and the screw type clamps. This allows clamping of the rails and low profile clamping of workpieces onto the top. If you can achieve this then you will have full benefit of the MFT tops design.

I won't have access to enable the use of screw or quick clamps but I'll be able to use my MFT SP clamps, these happen to be my first go to clamps anyway. If the other types are needed I can move the work piece to the perforated out feed table.
