Midi/Kapex

welcome to FOG, its not a dumb questions however although I'm fairly new at fog I read hundred of treads on this and I can tell you that your midi will be just fine with the kapex NO overloading just more frequent vac bag fills but other then that its a great combo for eachother especially if your a mobile with your tools.

I will add that the dust collection with the Kapex and the standard 27 mm hose is ok, but going with the 36mm hose makes it fabulous for a mitersaw.

Since you posted in the Ask Festool section... Yes, what they said. [wink] It'll work just fine, a 36mm hose will provide better dust extraction.

I use my Midi all the time with my Bosch 4410 SCMS, and I plug the saw into the Midi’s outlet.
The saw is a 3hp 15amp motor, and has never bogged down the Midi.
I got a short 36mm 2-meter hose and it does indeed provide much better dust collection. There also is a ‘technique’ for cutting on a SCMS that facilitates better dust collection, versus the straight plunge down.
