I got a chuckle out of that when I saw the picture.  They didn't really attempt to hide their inspiration.  I suspect being brushless it will have a bit more ooomph, and it will probably be inline with the Bosch offering in terms of price.  I think they also offered the offset check in addition to the right angle and jacobs in the set.

Don’t think I would trust the accessory chucks to hold up, or the tool for that matter. Sorry Milwaukee but you guys build disposable tools not repairable ones.

Will get the new router though because we run several battery platforms, unfortunately.

I'm a huge Milwaukee fan. They're late to the party here but I'll still pick one up for the garage. Even though I already have a CXS.

I’m definitely interested. I run a lot of Milwaukee at work and it would be awesome. Unfortunately I see a huge flaw in the forward/reverse being a button on the top. That seems wildly inconvenient for a drill especially when 100% of other drills are setup by the trigger. Even if you got used to it as soon as you grab another drill you have to adjust again. Having to use a second hand or put down the drill to change directions seems thoughtless.

Definitely some intriguing tools coming from Milwaukee later this year.  M18/M12 are my main battery platforms, with of course some Festool and a touch of Dewalt. 

Personally I'm interested in the 4-in-1 installer driver (CXS), M12 hydraulic "surge" impact driver (have the M18 version and love it), the redesigned M18 18g brad nailer (should fix the problems of the first gen), and the M18 cordless framing nailers.

With you on that, it would be so much better to carry the M12 impact on my belt than the M18.

The 4-in-1 driver isn't available for order yet, but many of the other items are available to order now. Including the brad nailer and the M12 Surge (which has the same torque as the M18 version 450inlb).

Just remember, if you don’t NEED it right away. New releases are often sold in promo bundles with extra batteries or discounted in the first six months or so. All of Milwaukee new releases last year had free battery bundles around Christmas but those who pre ordered or bought them right away lost out.

I dunno, I've dropped my M12 Drill more times than I'd care to admit and its still chugging along happily. Even if it does eventually break I can just run out to HD and grab a new one in 10 mins, rather than waiting a week for Festool to fix it.
