Here is my experiment with gear lift for Festool TS55 for table installing. I tried to make parts by 3D printer and it works.

Its clever and all, but what problem does it solve? The saw is light enough to simply lift it in a controlled manner without the gear.

He is trying to make a small tablesaw mechanism. Most likely for retrofit into a systainer.

I realize that.

Looks like it works as it was supposed too. Mirock you are a creative inventor.

I think this is a good addition to a TS saw if you were to us it in a CMS. I’m sure it’s A pain to get down on your knees and reach under the table to adjust the blade height just a little. With the spring and hard to reach location of this adjustment it very difficult to raise or lower the blade a bit.
Nice job Mirock.

Yes, I agree there is not some BIG problem egregious to a solution. let's consider this not as solved big problem but rather as an experiment.

Thank you)
Really, gain is in very little corrections of saw blade heigth. I worked with it before and remember that make little correction need to use both hands and then check. Here we can do it by one hand having other hand free for measurements. Maybe need to try to show it when my small tablesaw will be assemled

Thank you guys for your comments, I won't to question the quality of Festool work - it is great tool and worked out so good that difficult to find real big problem to apply an alternative design solution. Therefore, I have to be content with small lacks)

that actually looks like a well thought out printer. The 3 color head looks interesting. The construction details are nice as well.

Cool.  I wish I could have the problem of needing to enhance the saw insert for the CMS.  But in North America we don't have a need to rip boards on site.  At least Festool seems to think we don't.

Not sure how some don’t get how it’s useful  [eek]

It’s easy to the benefits in your design when mounted in tablesaw mode.

You gotta remember when it’s upside down not only have you got the spring but gravity and adjustment would be a pain.

Your experiment solves this problem very well basic yet very clever at same time.

Allowing one hand micro adjustment while your other hand is free to hold the material or tape measure on the blade

I like it 👌👍

It’s a cool mod.  I don’t have a use for it, but I do t have a CMS.

This guy is a very creative and unique thinker. If you haven’t seen his other DIY tools, check out his YouTube videos.  I can’t imagine any craftsman not enjoying them.

I just received the 3d files and am now looking for a 3d printer service company to do the print for me.

I am not sure what material and printer type I need so any comments are welcome.

I am using my saw in a CMS table saw system.
