Got the bevel gauge. Hooray, I missed the end date.

You're going to love it...I personally think it's their best engineered and smoothest operating tool. I'd also suggest picking up the Angle Reference Plate because it measures in 1/4 degree increments. That's the reason I added 1/4 degree increments to my Kapex...so that the bevel gauge and Kapex can work hand-in-hand together.

We just added a single (1) Pocket Compass Set to the website. It's the only one we have. $139.99

I grabbed one of these yesterday as well, when I was called to say the small compass was sold out already. Thanks Shane and Nick!

Any chance you have a parallel guide system?

And what does "Bump" mean in the classified?

Thanks.

Larry

Larry, welcome to the forum. We do not have any parallel guides from Woodpeckers. We have the Festool and Seneca brands in stock.

Bump is just a term for bringing attention to an older post.

You may want to contact Woodpeckers directly to see if they still have them.

i'm curious to see if anyone has actually used one of these and found it to be more useful than the tape measure and the tried and true method of calculating board feet.  to me there seems to be a real disconnect between how one actually buys lumber and the information that this lumber rule provides.  what you really want to find out on your wood buying trip is the amount of USABLE board feet.  so you really HAVE to pull those boards out, see how far in those big cracks in the ends go, check for bowing, scallops and a myriad of other unusable imperfections, check for grain patterns etc, etc.--you know, woodworking 101.  that's how you TRULY save both time and money on your project.  i understand the economics of the situation:  woodpeckers has to keep putting products through their machines and pros like gregory have to identify additional streams of income to keep doing what they love to do.  but i think it dilutes mr. paolini's excellent teaching reputation to be peddling this kind of product in what i find a most disingenuous way--(there are a lot more problems with this thing, but i'm going to stop there--anyone who has actually gone to buy wood for a project will certainly figure those out).  sorry shane, i know you're trying to move some leftover product here but i'm hoping that anyone who has considered this item will still spend the 60 bucks on something in your store that will actually be put to use.

1x6 (.5 bf per lineal ft, duh), then he says 96". Ok so 4 board feet, who would need a calculator for that?

IMO if you use rough stock enough to warrant a special tool, you should be able to convert lineal ft to bf pretty easily anyway.
