I just received an RO90 I ordered and the T-loc latch on the systainer is missing... I cannot get the part system to work on my computer (MacBook, something about missing component for Java). Is it possible to get that part number so that I can order it? It needs to ship to Puerto Rico.

Thanks for your help.

I am sure that you checked your packing material to make sure that it didn't fall off during shipment, but as you asked the part number is 497819.  Cost per the ekat system is $5.84 US.

Hope that this helps.  You might also want to send an email to the dealer that you ordered it from and let them know of the missing part.

a lot of dealers may just replace the missing part.  also, festoolusa may just send you one.

If this was a new tool, and not one that was purchased used from someone, then please contact the dealer to send you a T-LOC knob.

The part system requires Java installed on your computer, which is a free download from http://java.com.

The product number is 497819.

Many thanks for the info.  It is a new tool purchased from amazon.com. They gave me a credit. Unfortunately, most of the Festool dealers on the web don't ship to Puerto Rico.

Shane, are you aware of any of the online dealers - who may have the part - that ships to Puerto Rico? The only ones I know that ship to the Island are amazon (don't have the part) and Woodcraft (not them either). I know there's a dealer elsewhere on the Island, but they carry a very limited assortment of Festools. I would just prefer to buy online.

A T-LOC knob isn't something a dealer is generally going to carry. There are few dealers that carry spare parts. The best option is to order directly from our service department.

God, but I hate to be a pest. Shane, I called Festool today and threw the lady there (Kathy?) for a loop with this shipping to Puerto Rico thing (this happens a lot). I will try again tomorrow, but do you know of any dealers who might ship the part I need to the Island?

On the happy side, I had a nice surfing session this afternoon.

Sorry to hear about the part, but you lost most of my sympathy with the surfing comment.  Freezing here and heading colder tonight.
PR is beautiful, lived at Ramey AFB as a kid before it closed (early 70's).

Looking through the list of dealers who have ordered a T-LOC knob, I only see a few that have ordered more than 1, meaning that they likely ordered a couple to have them handy for customers. None are online dealers and all but one are on the west coast. Really think you'd be better off dealing with us. I sent you an email to see if I can help oil the machine a little on getting this through for you. Sorry for the trouble earlier.

Problem solved. Spoke with Kathy a while ago and part should be on the way soon. Thanks for the help.
