Anyone have any pics of mobile showrooms be it cabinetry, windows etc?

I do AV systems and it is becoming more and more relevant to demo concepts over products. I don't have a showroom nor do I care to have one, Its hard enough for me to get appointments with my clients as is letalone get them to a showroom.

My thought is a 7x14x9ft tandem axle trailer. with luxury finishes and cabinetry with my Audio video gear scattered throughout (hidden of course). There will be enough room in there for a love seat or two reclining chairs for clients to sit in.

It would have to be heated and cooled obviously which isnt a big deal considering the small trailer and being able to adapt systems from the RV world. Power would come from a Honda generator since they are quiet. It would have DirecTV and really have all the features of a full home system with different options.

The next issue is weight but it would be pulled by a F350 w/powerstroke. Most of my clients and potential clients  have driveways/developments to support this for easy access. Its something that has never been attempted before in my industry, I currently have designed mobile demos to bring into the home and have worked tremendously well. Looking to take this concept to the next level so looking for feedback and pics of other "mobile showrooms"

TIA

I have no pics, but it sure sounds like a great plan! Probably set you way ahead of the competition, Good luck!

You might check out houzz.com

Search for 'airstream' or 'travel trailer'

Some great makeovers though not exactly for a 'demo trailer' but might give you inspiration.

Very interesting idea...I own a custom AV company in the SF Bay Area, the trailer idea would be tough for me as most of our work is in highly congested areas. But I did just purchase a new Sprinter and look forward to being able to stock a lot of our products on the truck and eliminate the need to run to a supplier mid project. I would be curious to see what you come up with. Good luck.

Hey Shawn, You wouldn't happen to be over at RC-IP or ESI would you? there is another fellow here P2P (joe) that is also in SF, you guys probably know each other?

Anyway, yeah I am fortunate that most of my clients are out in the suburbs of Philly where this would work well. I have a design for it just need to pull the trigger on a trailer and start the process. heck of alot cheaper then building out a showroom.

I have a few mobile demos I put togther, here is one http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-custom/thread.cgi?keywords=33954&highlight=james|demo|kit that has worked incredibly well. Ive done another one with control 4 but its hard to show clients this concept out of a mobile rack and a few lamp dimmers for lighting control. Considering how well my james/sonos demo worked its where the thought of a small mobile trailer outfitted as a "room" could be a knock out.

Nope. Don't recognize those companies or know any of the names mentioned. It's a big area and I really don't know a lot of guys in the business, just suppliers and reps. Interesting Demo in the link, In my area clients tend to just take my recommendations. But again very cool set up you have there. Take care.

if you can afford it, do it. i ve been in sales most of my life and you know what you are doing.  i tow a 7x14 tandem with a powerstroke and it does well. the reason i encourage you is i run my remodel business from one that i set up as a tricked out mobile workshop....its posted here under mobile vehicle based shops. the impression its  made and sales i have  gotten has exceeded my expectations .
