Hello,

Today i just finished my workbench. I purchased plans from Ron Paulk and made the Paulk Work bench. If you haven't checked it out he has quite a few youtube video's showing this amazing work bench in action.

I use it for work installing kitchens. Mainly for cutting up 3x8 Panels, assembling cabinets, and just having a table saw outfeed. Couldn't be happier I got it all to fit in my 96' Jimmy.

Hi Dayton,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

Great first post  [thumbs up]

Very nice setup. I have been wanting to get a portable table saw then I will need to make me one of those tables for the out feed. On most jobs I do in remodeling I don't have a lot of space so I'm not sure what size would work for me.

Hey guys,

Thanks Seth.

Yeah I did have to shorten it from the original plans. I was limited to what was able to fit in my SUV. Thankfully everything worked out so im able to slide my sys 3 Container with less than an 1/8th to spare when the two benches are stacked in my truck. The Xterra is our other vehicle so I also needed to build it for transporting in that to. It's slightly shorter than the jimmy yet has quite a bit more height.

The bench is 60" x 40" and stands 36" in height when assembled. I made it out of 3/4 ply because i felt like i needed the extra weight for the table saw and depending if i get a bigger table saw. I offset one of the sawhorses so that there is more support by the table. I can support my weight with my hands close to the bench on the two bars. It's not too heavy. I've taken it up condos up the elevator already and it wasn't that big of an issue.

Cheers,

Dayton
