Welcome to the forum  [welcome] Looks like you do some very good work, do you do all the graphics as well? That is certainly a unique hobby - You could probably make a killing selling those arcade games to the people of my generation who grew up in the 80's video arcades - The GenXers!!!

Hi ELMO,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

Do you build all the internals? Or are these refurbs?

Pretty cool  [cool]  So do you basically have your own arcade?

Very nice work!
I was wondering how you create apply/finish those graphics?
Tim

That's a really nice cabinet

Several years ago I built a cocktail style arcade cabinet.
Here is a blog of the build Link
One of the goals of my arcade cabinet was to make it look more like a piece of furniture. I built it out of cherry wood and plywood.  It was a fun project and the kids love it.

Thanks for the welcome guys  [smile]

@ BarBuilder, my nephew creates all the the graphics and we get them printed locally, wud love to own a printer but theres a few tools on my wish list before that lol.

@ waho609, kind words pal thanks alot.

@ Seth, its all from scratch the  cab, internals, artwork this is my nephews mine is nearly done, u can check it out through the sig.

@ Tim, thanks tim all the build pics are on the site jsut click on my sig.

@ Kevcoleman, thats beautiful, we are starting to plan a cocktail next hope it turns out as nice as yours.

thanks again for the welcome and awesome feedback  [big grin]

Always wanted to build a couple of arcade style sticks for my PS3, mainly for street fighter. It just got put on the back burner. Good job on the Cabinet!

This is pretty darn slick. I love seeing collaboration projects.

Did you use the original arcade electronics or a MAME setup?

Nice work! Is this a MAME system?

I cut the parts for one of these out of MDF about 6 years ago for a friend, but he never got around to assembling it.

Ya, I went through your site. That's why I asked.
Do you print out the graphics on photographic paper(?) and then glue it (contact cement ?) to the panel?
Do you seal the graphic after attaching it to the panel?
That's what it looks like but I was just curious.
Tim

Hi Tim, we get them printed at a local place its self adhesive vinyl, and  its over cut which laps round the edge and the t-moulding holds it in too !
