Bought myself a pair of 1000 revo clamps today.

:D should've bought some years ago , they're a pleasure to use specialy compared to my cheap no name sash clamps.

I love my revo k body clamps. I try to purchase a clamp or two every so often so it's a slow accumulation but they grow in number quickly that way and its not a million dollars all at once!

I don't have revos, but a variety of other Bessey clamps, and they're very nice. If I need new clamps, I generally only look at Besseys.

You might consider adding Bessey Tradesman clamps, I use the 6 x 2 1/2 all the time.

My local "Festool Pusher" has a Bessey clamp wall and he also knows my clamp inventory from his records .... makes it very dangerous to visit  [eek]

LIKEWISE just made  the plunge and they are very well made, oh peter parfitt here I go again what a great source of information you are , I can see a lot more of these in the not too distant future , hey joiner did you get yours on the bessey promotion ? you can fit four toggle clamps & four kliklamps in a syst 1 , I think I may require a syst 5 or the new sytstainer when they are available .

I don't have any of the revos but I do have a rack full of the older K-bodies. Amazon had sales for various sizes of cabinet making sets - 4 at a whack. Those were the days.

They were slightly cheaper but that was just d & m tools price , not a bessey promo as far as I know.

I payed just short of £88 for 2 1000 kbody revo's

I used them to glue up all the drawer fronts and doors for a job I'm doing then used them to put a stack of dovetail drawer boxes together. They are faultless;D

I made a rack for mine if you happen to need a space to hang them.
But has anyone noticed with their KRV's (the ones where the end can also slide on the rail) that the button is hard to push down (on some i need to use a screwdriver and all my force to push it down)
And that when you clamped something and then slide the end back to the end of the rail, that the notches on the rail that were under this part are smoothed out on the top side. I hope this doesn't have long term effect on the grip, anybody long term experience with these?

One thing I did spot today was that one of the clamp bars is bent , is that normal ?

Imagine you have them sitting on the bench ready to clamp and you looked down from above you can see the main bar that the clamps slide on is bowed to one side. Obviously this straightens when clamping I guess ? Thinking it's nothing to worry about. I tried putting force against the bow , thought it might straighten it out but its too strong and just returns to bowed.

Anyone ??

When I purchase mine, I've seen some that are bowed...I steer clear of them. As long as it straightens when clamping I assume you're ok!

Maybe contact Bessey and see what they say.

I watched your video, Tim.  Very cool!  Right now I have clamps hanging all over my workshop.  I have truss joists above so I hang them on the trusses.

There's more in two other locations. They need a home.  But every time I think about building something for them I convince myself I should wait until I have all the clamps I'll ever need.  Which means the clamps will never get a real home.

hey joiner the promotion is ongoing for bessey clamps I have the brochure in front of me and guess who gets a mention ? our very own peter parfitt , the clamps are on deals like in sets of four etc or just alone , if you need exact prices reply and I shall put them on here I have not done it yet as this is UK only promo as far as I know, green.

Yeah post the info, I know they do them in packs of 4 but at the dm prices it worked out cheaper to buy singles.

Regards the bow in one of mine I checked it with a straight edge and its only about 4mm. It doesn't straighten under load as I thought it might .

I think I bought my first Besseys about 1992 but only started on the K Bodys about 2001. They are simply the best.

Bessey certainly are the 'Festool' of clamps and some even have 'Festool' written on them!

I just ordered 4 1250mm revos plus the extenders from d m Tools. They came next day well packaged in and perfect condition. I already had 4 600mm revos so this is beginning to get expensive!

Been thinking about trying a couple but have also seen some alternatives from Rutlands in the UK, anyone tried any of the Rutland clamps?
