I am getting around to finishing up my MFT cabinet. Still need to complete the center set of drawers, tweak the slides and locks.

It is fully lockable except for the left hand side. Their is a cubby on the front of the cabinet for the MFS 700 which needs a cover

The finished is some cherry dye with poly on top and I spent the weekend finishing it in the backyard because the weather was nice and I didn't want to stink out the tenant above my shop.

Right now it houses the following tools

- CT 22
- Vac kit
- Domino
- Domino assortment sortainer
- Rotex
- C12 drill
- TS 55
- OF 1400
- Centrotec
- MFS 700

and once the center drawers are done it will also house the jigsaw, clamps, and other accessories.

Dan,

What is that peering out from the left hand side, between the cabinet and the MFT?

Good looking cabinet, by the way.

Hi Dave

That is the fence for the Hammer Combo Jointer / Planer machine it gets stored there when the machine is setup in planing mode.

I plan to build a bracket for it on the wall sometime soon but haven't gotten there yet.

Excellent !

The pictures show the cabinet top to be a bit larger than the MFT top ?
Likely dictated by size constraints due to the storage space underneath.

Did you perceive any drawback like hiiting the cabinet with your knees ?
Or don't you fear this could lead to back pain ?

The cabinet was built large enough so no one could roll it out the door !!!The MFT has not been secured to the top as of yet and I am still trying to decide if I want to have the MFT closer to me or where it currently sits

Dan, Nice looking piece of work. How do you plan to fasten the MFT feet to the top?

Hi John

I plan to use small blocks of wood on the inside of each corner. Haven't gotten there yet but hope to finish it up soon.

Hi Dan,

I really like your use of space!  Any chance of a few more pictures and some dimensions?  I've been getting ready to pull the trigger on a couple of cabinets like yours and Jmatz, but it would be nice to know what dimensions you needed to squeeze in a few more systainers.  Also, does anyone know of a super deal on a new 1080 MFT plain - I might be needing an extra one.  Or are the mft3 worth switching over to?  Seems like I won't be able to get as much storage under one of the new ones.

Thanks,
Roland
