My Quick Review of the new Sys-Storage Box

Was able to pick one of these up today.  I have been reorganizing my mess of a shop over the last several weeks and needed to get all my most used measuring and marking tools organized and in one place.  I had things in a Sortainer 4 for awhile and while this worked, it was not ideal having to take things in and out of the big drawer.  Add to this the fact that the small and medium drawers did not have the depth to accommodate some of my tools and it just was not working out as I had planned.  So, I went to the store thinking I might just get a regular Systainer or a Sys Midi or something and put everything in in that.  Then I happened upon the Sys-Storage Box.  When I first saw the video and read about it I was not really sold and did not think too much about it.  But, after playing around with it in the store and trying some of the tools there in it to see how it worked, this turned out to be a perfect solution.  There is an amazing amount of room in this thing -- somewhat deceptive at first glance.  I filled most of it up, but I still have a little room for additional odds and ends and what I like is now I can grab this kit and have everything in one spot with me and easy to see.  More importantly I will be able to stay more organized.  Thanks, Festool, for coming up with such a great product!

Just got one also. I swapped all my hand tools from sys hand tool holder insert( the wood pre-cut one) to the new sys storage box. Just about everything fit except a medium size square & my glue bottle ( glue-bot). Hand tools are my biggest problem as far as organization  goes.

Hand tools are an issue for me as well...chisels and mallets and planes are problematic.  Getting another one of these might be just the ticket for the chisels and I might just need a Sys-Maxi for my planes...I am happy with the way the Sys Storage turned out for my measuring tools, though.

There is a small size Glue-Bot called the Baby-Bot available.

Moving over here I had all my hand tools in a maxi systainer. But since I was setting up shop I wanted better access to them. With out haveing to get the sys and open it, lift up the 2 layers of kaizin foan get the tool and reverse.

I had one of these tools boxes for a while, about 3 mos. I couldnt figure out what to do with it. Then looking at a video of the tool box gave me some ideas. So I got my sockets extensions, ratchets, screw drivers in it and virtually emptied the max sys. Everything by my chisels. They are going into a holder for on top of a small cab Im building. But I must say i can add a lot more stuff to the tool box. It has a lot more room then it appears.

Cool box thinking about buying one.
How much in USD.

I use the festool ripsaw with guide awsome.

Does this lock into a regular systainer. Been thinking about this but haven't gotten down to the store to play with it yet. Thanks

Yes! It will lock into Classic and T-LOC systainer setups.
