Using that table tops save me a lot of scrap normally generated by cutting back legs from planks, which is roughly 35% of the material. That particular top was found at a garage sale for 50SEK, or around 5€, I didn't want the table legs, but they MADE me take them anyway... Using this technique, I end up with under 10% waste, and save a lot of money also. Solid fir furniture was very popular here in the 70s/80s, now people throw it away.....Not me...I recycle it and pad my wallet at the same time!
