Hi guys,
Last time I went to Batimat (Paris), I've noticed that most of the nail guns REALLY looked similar. [sad]
See below:
Reich:
Max:
I know that Max guns are now made in Thailand.
I wondered if there was maybe two manufacturers only that would be making 80% of the worldwide nail / staplers guns...
Having said that, two brands stood out at some point: Holz Her and Prebena (both German).
Question #1:
Would you recommand choosing a tool that would be using BOTH nails and staples or is it a non sense ?
Can't tell right now wether I would be using mostly staples or nails but can't really afford buying one stapler and one nail gun. So the nailer / stapler combo seems a good idea. Any thoughts ?
Question #2:
Being european doesn't make me blind (or at least, not to a certain extent). I understand that major brands such as Makita, Bosch and Senco would have 100 times more money to spend on they nailers and staplers' R&D.
Eventhough Holzer and Prebena have a true nailers legacy and history, is it a risk to buy from a slightly "exotic" brand ?
I'm always concerned when it comes to tools being sent back to germany or an erratic customer service..
Thanks for your input guys
FYI, the models I'm considering:
