Situation:  18 year wedding anniversary on the near horizon - Feb 28 and Mar 1.  Got married in leap year so wife insists that half the hallowed day is on both days.

Problem:  I've been begging for a Kapex for the last 4 major gift giving holidays and haven't received one.  Rats!

Dilemma:  How do I either convince her that it is the time, or how do I convince her that the Kapex I got for her was the best present she ever could receive?

Ideas?

Signed:  Not wanting to snuggle with my TS55 like Darcy. [big grin] [big grin]

PS - You can post here.  She believes that you have to have a password to view the forum. ..... he he he

Peter, if you can convince her that you need a password to view posts here AND  she hasn't snooped to find what you are really up to with all the hours you spend here.  I am surprised that you don't have the Kapex. tell her it was Festools way of saying Thanks for being a moderator. [eek] [eek]

Craig  [scratch chin]

PS congrats on 18  (just had 17 Jan 2,)

Craig,

Thanks for the congrats.  Thanks for the great idea.  She did give up a conference trip for my attending the class in Indy.  She has bought so many of my Festools as presents.  Any other guidance?

Peter -
Any chance you can play the safety card? Using the TS55 is so much safer than other circle saws. Don't have a Kapex but it may offer some features that would play to the safety aspect.
Reason I bring this up is wife and I went to a woodworking machinery store today to look around. She wanted to see some lathes. As we wandered around looking at all the nice stuff, she asked about some table saws. I explained I had a really nice cabinet saw but showed her the SawStop and explained it's safety features and cost of saw and cost of the blade loss and firing mechanism. A SawStop costs about 3 times more than my saw. She looked at me kind of weird and asked me how much a finger was worth. I now know to use the safety ploy next time I want something!!!!!!!    [big grin]
