Hi,

I’m preparing an order at Rockler...
Wanted to know if you have some item(s) that I should look at? (Remember, I’m in metric. Not to exclude, but..  [big grin])

I’ve in the basket:
Apron + available clip on pockets
Bench cookie, master kit + clip and wall organiser.
Some glue applicator kit

Sensible inputs welcome!

Uffda !- he wants Bench Cookies . . .

The items you list will be fine - based on personal experience with everything except the Apron, which I have seen but not purchased

go for it!

Hans

Haha.. Uffda! ..then it’s bad..
But they’ll hold a smallish sheet above the table? (Was thinking mainly for jig saw use in typical sawing in the middle of a stock/sheet)

Edit:
An example of other cheap stuff..:
I’ve looked for a pre-owned PSB 300 for 1 1/2 year.. “der Bügel Modelle” is nowhere to be seen here (Distributor only have the barrel) Sooo suddenly this showed up today, 1st in this period, fair price $85-ish but..
But for how long will it actually work? c/w plenty of rust..
Sold in minutes...

In my opinion, the best thing at Rockler is the Mixing Mate Paint Lid (gallon or pint size). Actually surprised its not more commonly available elsewhere.

I have the bench cookie master set and like using them *shrugs* Made a donut 1/2" thick spacer for under the table so they can be tightened.

Don't know what you plan to do with the bench cookies. I made some using old hockey pucks and this:https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/search#q=hockey puck&sort=relevancy&numberOfResults=24 Hardly used as they somehow seem to get in the way in assembly work.

I once had this for various different brands of machines. It was sold along with some of the machines:

Thanks so far all!
Though, a question I forgot, and you brought it up: Rockler has quite an extensive range when it comes to dc fittings and hoses.
I’m more or less stranded at Festools 50mm vac end and the “universal” 100mm (4”) workshop system. I wonder if you have connected any of these sets/adaptors to Festool’s “50mm” connection. It should be around 2”, but there’s above 2 1/2 and below 2”.. And when the measures are a saying rather than actual size (so with Festool “50mm”) there’s choppy water.
dc tube sizes are a mud hole out of this world and can ruin ones day  [scared]

I stole some of the ideas and placed an order myself. I’ve already got the flexi-hose setup. ordered the hooks, mixing mate, and glue caddy.  [smile]

For the Bench Cookies I have the posts are 3/4", not 20mm. So they wobble a bit in my MFT dog holes or on my B&D Workmate which has always had 20mm holes. At least mine did when I bought it in the late 70s.

The Rockler Glue Keeper I find handy to work from.https://www.rockler.com/rockler-silicone-glue-keeper

My other hobby is photography, and I occasionally need a safe place for tiny screws. The glue keeper is working well for that, it keeps them contained, and has enough mass that it stays put on my repair bench.
I may buy another for glue. :)

The rockler 4 inch connectors have rubber sleeves and band clamps so they are adjustable to some variance in machine ports.

Like this elbow connector.

I purchased the Bench Cookies years & years ago but really haven't used them a lot. However, I noticed Rockler is now offering a triangular top for them and that may prove to be a lot more stable than the typical small, thin yellow plastic painting triangles that always tip over if you're in a hurry.

I also have & like their silicone glue brushes.

However, the one hidden gem that no one else offers is the magnetic cord keeper. Even though I put in 2 separate circuits in my shop, because of space limitations there are 4 machines placed around 2 hanging outlets. Those cords always need to be swapped out.  [sad]

Working on it! [blink]
Seems that I’ll use pucks and eat from the cookies from my freezer..
there where suddenly something that caught my attention, a CT-VA 20 at an campaign.. need that.

But, do you get how Rockler get this:
Take a look at the illustration in the lower left corner on how to connect two hoses, and then the ID and OD.. (probably dipping my feet in the mud by ordering a 2 1/2 gate and Y connection kit..)

I have a lot of the cookies and use them for painting and routing where the bit needs some clearance. The pointy tops are ok.

...and yes like anything else you can make your own, but if I were to make everything myself I would not have time to do what I want to do. A few minutes here, an hour there and next thing you know you've wasted a lot of time with little benefit for what would have been a $20.

I would say that adapter doesn't exist. How can it if the ID and OD are the same. :-)

I mean, technically the OD is labeled on one end and the ID on the other, so it could have a gentle taper...

But otherwise, it's all just a clever illusion that the infinitely-thin material on the adapter is even visible to the camera. ;)

Guys, thank you all. I looked into every suggestion, the only thing I was unsure of was the mixer - due to possible non fitment to “our” pints and “gallons”. It sure looked smart.

But, big disappointment, for my basket of approximately $276 the landed cost including shipping (UPS Expedited) and tax, behold.. was $565.. (UPS saver was actually slightly higher)

For some small, but very nice to have items, that’s steep. Yes, tax is high here, 25%, and we get that on the shipping charge as well. I’ll move that money towards a Festool sander instead.

I’ll check in later, seems like COVID has raised shipping costs very high from overseas.
I order from Germany and neighbouring countries, and with tax withdrawal at the border, I only pay Norwegian tax, and when taxes are about +/- 20% that makes a difference on the grand total.
