Looking at the CT SYS but was hoping to find something lots less expensive. I have a ct26 but sometimes it’s too much to haul around. Any inexpensive alternatives for like punch list quick jobs?  Would also like to hook to sanders etc.  380 for the CT SYS is not an option right now

Hmmm I also use Milwaukee 18 v cordless for he job. They have a nice little cordless vac that might work. Looking forward to any opinions

There's a newly-released vac-in-a-systainer from Metabo out this week.  Can't really comment at all about it's performance other than to say that it has (unfortunately exclusive, but arguably the world's best) 18v DC operation, push button filter cleaning, extra onboard storage for a spare battery, tools, hose & a few spare papers, and a much more useful 7.5L bag capacity.

Currently on "special" for GBP 200 with an accessory trolley base.  The biggest disappointment seems to be an absence of automatic actuation;  possibly a deal-breaking omission in my opinion on what otherwise could very well be a winning combination of features.

Makita makes cordless vacs too with cordless tool triggering. One of their vacs is a backpack vac, which would allow you to move quickly from work area to work area.

Lots of options, each individuals needs are different.

I've been using the 18v Milwaukee for the last 6-7 years, even hooked up to my Fes sanders on occasion.

I like the Milwaukee but no corded option. Would be perfect.  Might check out the dewalt.

For what it's worth, having used a Milwaukee 18V and DeWalt 18V, I would rate the Milwaukee a few steps ahead of the DeWalt both in terms of suction provided, noise, and battery life.

Just my humble opinion though!

I'd say the short answer is go with whatever 18/20v cordless platform you currently use, and as stated above most of them have vacuums. Decide whether HEPA is a premium you need which drives the price up. That Metabo on paper has great specs. I believe the Makita cordless had a pretty impressive run time from other blog post, but personally I'd love to get one of those Makita backpack units ...
