I'm currently working on a woodworking-related project that involves the computer. I need some software that will 'screen grab' videos and save them in a format I can upload to YouTube.

Does anyone have any experience of this type of program and can recommend a free program that will do the job?

Thanks in advance!!!

PS - If I can do this, then I'll be posting the project on here - it's really cool [big grin]

Vidblaster will do it, but you have to pay a minimum of $200 to get rid of the logo in the corner.

Windows.

Shane has very kindly PMed me with some info (ie the fact that it's called 'screencasting') which has allowed me to find some (possibly) suitable programs - Thanks Shane!

It does help to know the proper name for what you're looking for when trying to find things on the internet... [blink]

I'm doing some tests now. So far, however, it appears my 5 year old laptop isn't powerful enough to run both the screencasting software AND the program I'm trying to video at the same time [mad]

I'm gonna keep trying though!
