After muscling through my dining table with 5" sander I thought long and hard before buying another. Ultimately I decided that just don't build enough big pieces to warrant the 6". So I doubled down and bought a 125 ETS EC and stocked up on more paper.

So what am I building now you ask? A 95"x55" barn door for an odd opening in a house and have two huge farm tables lined up afterwards. I'm cussing the whole time I'm sanding this dang door thinking how much faster it would've been with the bigger stroke and more surface area. All the best laid plans!

Just had to vent. My wife wouldn't understand. :)

I hear you.  With the balance of the 150 ETS(EC) sanders, to me I don't see much reason why one wouldn't get these over the 125, unless you plan on doing a lot of overhead sanding or are going to be doing narrow strips exclusively.

I have the Bosch 1250 DEVS on my wish list.  It is 6 inch but I have a DeWalt 6 inch that isn't much faster than my 5 inch DeWalt.  The 1250 has a faster mode like the right angle type Festools that is supposed to speed up the sanding a lot.  The difference is the Bosch is about $250 or not a lot more than half the Festool.

I got a 1250DEVS a while ago. Haven't used it much but the turbo mode does remove material at a Rotex-like pace.
