New Boards?

Everyone,
As you might know, I have just created a new "OFF-TOPIC" board called "Finishing".  I'm trying to pull out the more substantial information from the "Off-Topic" area and move it into more distinguished board!  Finishing was one example.

Looking through the off-topic postings, I see perhaps a couple of other ideas that come up often enough to deserve their own boards:
  • Wood
  • Techniques

I'd like to hear what everyone else things on this.

Thanks,
Matthew

I'd like to know where everyone buys there wood. I got some from Woodcraft, and just assumed I overpaid. Got me thinking where everyone else gets theirs, besides a local mill or something. An internet link would be nice.

Forget it I am a idjit

Great Idea!

If any one read what I just wrote before I changed it

you know know how clumsy I really am.

Ok, everyone, we've got wood.

Anything else?  I'm also seeing a trend in electronics questions and building techniques.

I really would like, as much as possible, to make the "General Chat" area for the way-off-topic-stuff and have anything of value easier to locate.

Home improvement  board would be useful for a lot of people I think

Colin.

Yeah, home improvement would be good. I'm trying to decide if I want to put a new roof on myself, or pay someone to do it.

Home Time's a good one.

What about "Culture Clash!" where we can put all the weird things we discuss about different building technique, tea habits, national sports preferences, and anything otherwise alien to our own countries (or upbringing?)?

That's the kind of thing that will remain in the general off-topic area.  What I'm trying to do is pull all the practical stuff into new boards and leave behind the far-out stuff.

Everyone,
The new boards have been going so well (like the recently added "Hand Tools), I wonder what else people might want?
Any more suggestions for specific "non-Festool" boards?
Matthew
