New business new desk

Hey guys

It's been a while, but I have just started my own business and finished a project that I have deemed worthy of the FOG .  The desk is solid oak with a cherry stain.  The top was done by my good friend Bodi over at Woodworld in Chicago, the best festool dealer in the Midwest !!!!  We'll hope you guys like it

Really beautiful. I like all the negative space. It's a nice, big desk, but that really lightens up the wood. Good luck with the business!

I assume the top is a glued up L shape?  And Bodi mitered the corner and used dominos?

Love the color and design.  I would love to see that in Quarter Sawn RO.

I'm sure Chip can get some in for the next iteration!  This one will sell quickly if it hasn't already.

Nice work.  Even though that is not my style for a desk, I can really appreciate the styling... very classic.

I will also commend who ever snapped the pics.  the first pic has a very cool vibe to it.  Drew me in immediately.  Great placing, light and perspective.

the top is sort of a bread board end and not a miter,  the client thought a miter would look a little to contemporary.  but yeah dominoes the whole way..

i forgot to mention i will be giving a demo at WOODWORLD in Chicago (2460 w George) this saturday from 10-2.  i will be building some side tables using festools every step of the way.  hope you guy can make it
