In the Instruction Manual for the MFT/3, page 5, Step 2, I read "using a hand screwdriver 3-3, to loosen or tighten front and back set screws" (on the saw).
Do I assume this is incorrect, and and set screws have been replaced by eccentric knobs?  The loose fit does need to be adjusted, but the knobs are almost impossible to turn.
Thanks.

I don't have the MFT/3 handy, but there are not screws for adjusting the saw to the guide rail. There are gibs/knobs as you stated. It's possible this is a translation issue.

You may want to try beveling the saw some to gain better access to the knobs, which will make it easier to adjust them. They are intended to be stiff to turn so they stay in place once set. You could carefully use channel locks pliers if needed.

And, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new MFT/3.

Can't remember when I got a quicker response - Thanks, Shane.
Also, wrt the UTube videos, it appears there is a wealth of help out there for new Festool owners, so I appreciate the links.
