I'm new to Festool grear, but I am already dreaming in green.  That combined with a healthy OCD for keeping my tool cords organized has lead me to discover a great new green Festool accessory.  Festool green Gear Ties!

These are the 18" versions.  They are quite handy and rugged, and the green is a perfect match [big grin].  For those of you that like to keep your cords from getting out of control, enjoy.

Nah, those aren't Festool accessories -- Festool ones would be the 450mm versions...    [tongue]

'tis FallingWater, indeed.  I've rediscovered Legos along with my 4 year old son.  They are almost as addictive as Festool.

My fourteen year old decided he was completely done with lego's last year. Didn't think that would even happen, had a full 6 foot tall, 4 foot wide steel shelving unit full of the, tons of Bionicles too.

So I told him to package them all up complete, and we'd list them on eBay. then I checked on eBay for the market value of those things..... ZERO. Most items going with no bids on them.

So we ended up donating them to a local needy family.

Just hope it doesn't end up being that big box of 12" G.I. Joes I sold (with Mercury Capsule!) for $10 at yard sale when I was a kid...

Just purchased 7 18" and 2 6"!   [big grin] [big grin]

Thanks for the post!  These will be great and will help keep stuff clean and organized.

Seems like buying directly from NiteIze.com is the best option.

I checked multiple sites and they have the best price and lowest shipping.  Couldn't locate free shipping.

BTW, the 18" Gear Ties are $5 per pair.

Brad

For $5 you can get 30-50 velcro straps for the Depot that work even better.

They may be pricey, but I challenge your assertion that the velcro straps work better, unless you enjoy untangling the velcro from itself, which inevitably happens. (and I haven't seen Festool green velco yet  [big grin])

You're right, it tangles itself up.

I just purchase 4 pairs of the 18"  I really dislike loose cords on my tools when I store them away.
I guess sometimes I anal that way  [eek]

Why you gonna be challengin Brice like that!?  I mean... look how cool he looks standing in front of that "Festool" handrail that he probably made by himself as a prototype for Festool!

Obviously you haven't met or seen Brice in person.    [eek] [scared] [big grin]

I also use the velcro straps that come precut in rolls.  They are cheap and work great for some things.  Since they are flat, they do work better than many other options for attaching your power cord to the hose.  But, the product shown here looks far better for cord wraps.  And, unlike the velcro, dust and debris won't build up on the wraps.

Uh oh.  If I came-off sounding like a jerk, my apologies.  Definitely not my intent.

I love these things, and the earlier poster that suggested these work even better for tools that don't come in sustainers is right IMHO.  That is why I bought them in the first place.  I bought some to keep my rats nest of computer cables organized too.  Since I'm a nail biter by nature, I keep a 6" one one in my pocket for something to futz with during the day (oh man, that could be interpreted in the wrong way) as opposed to clicking a pen or gnawing my fingers.
