New Festool impact screw driver

Hi everyone, do you guys know if festool making NEW 18v impact screw driver ?

We won't have an impact driver in the next year or two. Is there a particular type of work that you need an impact driver for? We might have a different drive that could work.

Realy? That is abit sad to hear. I was to wonder when they will come up with somenting nice. Impact drive that dont make so much noise like the makita oil impulse drive.
I do use impat drive everyday. I wish festool make somenthing cool.  Thanks for you replay

I was told by a UK Festool employee that one is in the pipeline so maybe 2017 for the UK at least.

Why? Hydraulic is very complicated for such a small lightweight thing. Who wants to be getting a new one every 4 years or so because the seals are gone? There's a reason the electric industrial grade impact wrenches use anvils.

You may not understand the technology, its not Hydraulic in the sense you are thinking. ALL the major companies are going to this in one type or another and rightfully so. There isn't any metal to metal touching or very little if any:

Longer sustained torque

These will in theory last longer than a regular impact. If the first generation turns out to be faulty the second generation certainly will live up to it's potential.
