I just went looking for something on Festool's website and was greeted with a message that I had been randomly selected to give feedback on the new design.

I really liked what I saw. There is a well populated knowledgebase, a very friendly parts area with tagged exploded diagrams, the dealer search area ties to a mapquest map showing the location of each dealer as you scroll a list.

I couldn't find any direct downloads to resources, but a list of links to Jerry Works, The Woodwhisperer, Gary Katz, etc. No mention of FOG.

I went over to the FestoolUSA site and wasn't randomly selected  :'(

The Festoolusa.com site doesn't look any different to me...  still no photos of the MFT/3, still no link to FOG, etc.

I was just looking at their new site (it's a test site, and not accessible to everyone). THe pictures are a lot better, and navigation is pretty easy. But in my short visit I was looking at router accessories, and they were all mixed up. A dovetail bit, a guide bushing, an accessory base, another bit... It would be very easy to miss what you were looking for, as everything's all spread out and mixed up.

Well, it looks like the new site is up; when you go to www.festoolusa.com you get the option of old site or new site.

Nice touch.  It makes migration to the new site easier.  And they have photos and info on the new products, which wasn't always there on the old site.

I couldn't find a link to FOG though, and I thought that was going to be restored when they redid the site.  Makes me wonder what Festool's long-range plans are for this group when they take it over in a year or so.

I'm still getting the old site, from what I can tell, when I hit the link.  Maybe they don't like my money anymore... Naw...

Still the same old site for me - no option to see the new one.

I believe some people were randomly chosen to test the new site. Part of the registration most likely logged the IP address and therefore they are the beta testers.

I could be all wrong about this technology thing but believe that is why some still see the old site. FWIW, the new site is very nice and Shane is still trying to make it even better

Which is cool, and all, but in the interim their site languishes without update.  Don't get me wrong, this is the raging consumer coming out in me.  I want to see some of the new stuff populated with info. :)
