New hose connector (probably NAINA?)

So i was browsing the german Festool site, and i came upon this:
https://www.festool.de/Microsite/Pages/MUFFE.aspx

There is a new Hose connector (actually two, one or 27mm hoses and one for 27/22mm tapered hoses) coming. apparently, it can be locked onto the tool.

We will need new dustports though (and the dustports for the sanders require disassembling the tool)

It looks like the new hose connector just locks in place when inserted inside a dust port.
But there are no new ports on the machines until now.
And most sanders only have smaller ports to fit inside the hose connector.

Am I missing something or not?

There are replacement dust ports for the machines listed. So you can replace the original dust ports on machines you already have and I would assume that if old/new ports and old/new hose ends at least interchangeable (even if the locking doesn't work), then at some point new machines will have the new dust ports.

I understand from a few comments that the TS ports are changed in the same way that we've been doing for the TS 55C port upgrade on TS 55/55R/75, but that the sanders will require a level of disassembly, so warranty will obviously be a consideration for those looking to make the change.

Thanks Garry that declares my questions.
But the new ports are not listed on the Festool websites or EKAT yet?
I can only see them in my picture above.
Any part numbers available yet?

If it works as others describe it is a much needed improvement that should be on the OF2200 as well.

The new hose connector looks nice but I am curious  to why D/RTS400, carvex, domino etc. are not listed along with the compatible tools. Are these tools never going to get upgraded to the new connector or are they to be upgraded at a later point? I know they are still compatible with the new connector, but it makes sense to have them all upgraded with the new port i think.

Since TS55R are now officially delivered with the new dust port, i wonder if the systainer insert will be changed to accommodate storing with the dust port attached (without pointing it downwards).

I contacted Festool about the part number, but they did not have any info regarding part number or availability yet.

What makes sense is that all tools will be changed over eventually, but done gradually.

Some dust ports are easier to change out than others. To change the dust port on a TS55 is very cheap and easy, changing it on a DTS400 requires a major modification and complete disassembly of the sander. And for many tools they'll probably wait before they run out of their current stock.

This looks a bit like the Bosch system and I love how the Bosch system works. Should make a lot of people happy.
Most of the times I can just take off the rubber nozzle and snap the hose securely and directly into the tool or dust shroud.
Makes the connection a lot more secure and less bulky/cumbersome. Works really fast & great!

Now all they need to do is make different diameter rubber nozzle ends that fit the different hoses so you can just swap those out instead of entire hoses.

I couldn't find any product details on the Microsite when it launched, so called Marketing in the UK. They gave me the part numbers for the hose ends:

@PhilBeckley Do you have part numbers for the TS end ?

Cheers

Dave
