New Kapex Release

I attended an open house today and there was a rep from Festool. I was ready to buy a new Kapex until I asked when the new Kapex was coming out. The rep responded that they started production in Germany in November and should be shipping within the next month or two. He did not know what the differences were. Have any of you heard what upgrades or changes will be made? He did say that the price will remain the same.

First off,  [welcome] to the FOG.

There has been an announcement of a smaller Kapex Internationally. I see you are in the USA, as far as I have heard there has not been any official word yet as to if or when that new model will arrive here in N America. This is a smaller saw, I have not heard anything about a version 2.0 on the Kapex  KS120. If there was to be a new version, we would hear about it being released Internationally first, well before it would come to N America. I would guess the rep was talking about the new smaller KS60

Just called my shop to double check. The new KS60 in January and Festool reps talking of a battery Kapex (guessing KSC60) mid to late 2017 here in Australia.

Hopefully that will mean we will see a cordless vacuum as well
