Kreg is coming out with a new jig for blind fastening of deck boards and it looks really cool. I did almost the exact same thing last year with the "standard" Kreg pocket-hole jig to a set of stairs off the back of my house and they are rock solid. However I did use GRK Fasteners instead because in the past I have had problems with the Kreg screws snapping off during installation. It will be interesting to see how the new Kreg Deck Screws stand up, but I don't think I will be moving away from GRK's screws any time soon.
