New MFT in Spring 2008

As of right now, the Festool MFT 800 is no longer available from FestoolUSA; and the MFT 1080 as we know it is in critically low supply out of FestoolUSA warehouse in Lebanon, IN. Word on the street is that there will be one smaller shipment of MFT 1080, MFT 800 Basic, and MFT 1080 Basic at the beginning of January. As for ordering status, they will be on a "first come, first serve" basis.....SO GET YOUR ORDERS IN NOW, and hope that you are amongst the "first come, first served" at the beginning of 2008!

There will be an "advanced" version of the MFT 1080, called the MFT3 that begins production at the end of January, 2008. The new version of the table will include enhanced rail design, increased height to improve the ergonomics and an expanded range of accessories will help in methods of work.

So, the first question that comes to mind is:  Will there be a retrofit kit available to bring the "old" MFTs up to the new working height so that they can still be used side-by-side?  Will the table connectors fit both?
