New nail gun advice

Well when I was needing my paslode to work it didnt [mad] so sick of these nail guns and it's just back from servicing. So I am looking at at the Senco PC1010 in a sys 4 there is great photos of it what I am looking for info is can I order the lid with the mft top for for the sys 4 all I can see online is the mft part. You can order the two pieces, but they're nearly £39 together and a brand new SYS-MFT is only £42.

Buy a new SYS-MFT, swap the lid with the Senco Systainer and you have a spare SYS1 in to the bargain.

Hi Nippy ,

I love the senco wish I'd bought one years ago. I've got it in a sys 5 that I had from when I bought the cleaning set to get a 36mm hose for my kapex.

I swapped the lid for the mft one and all I had to do to fit the compressor was unscrew the rubber feet. It lays on its back in a sys 5.

I got my hose off Amazon .com it's not flexzilla it's the yellow bostitch hose. Even with shipping it was half the price they are here. I did however have to get two new threaded ends fitted here as it came with US threaded ends.

I've never tried a compressor gun out on site so can't comment but I can tell you I've had the Dewalt 618 brad gun for over 5 years, serviced it myself very infrequently and apart from changing the batteries it's still in daily use.
There is a new model coming and I hear it might be offers as combo set with framing nailer.
I think it's the only yellow tool in the van but it sits in a sys 5.  [eek]

The new dewalt brad gun is coming out soon I've heard people are testing them now.

Thanks Scott I spoke to dewalt and they are sating September for the gun but you never no. I find the old one way to have I used it for years with my old boss never a problem with it I would probably get it from America if I didn't get screwed on the taxes.

Thanks joiner you have yours in a sys 5 is that so you can get your hoses in it to a lot of people put it in a sys 4. I have that cleaning set in the van I could use it because I don't use the 36mm hoses for cleaning so that will save me some money

If you put it in a sys 4 you have to cut the handle off and I didn't want to do that

Ps the lids are easy to swap, I just bent the stiffener that goes across the back , until it came out . Then you can see the pins so put a drill bit the right size or a punch inside the pins. Tap it hard and the pin pops out. I put tape on the outside of the pins too in case they fly out and you lose them.

Hi Mick, I 've got an 18g bostitch brad nailer I've had years and I've just bought the 16g finish nailer to go with it. You can't go wrong with bostitch air nailers. I got the 16g one from screwfix on clearance I bet the newer models that are already out in the States are coming soon.

Here's the one I bought. Wish I'd seen this at the time as I think I paid £150 from screwfix. If you get it on US Amazon it will cost about £113 Inc shipping and taxes.

Just make sure the fittings will fit your hose

Have a look and see if any others ship. I know the hose does as I ordered mine OK. Didn't order a gun though
