Thanks to John (Neth27) for very kindly sending me up one of the highly sought after £50 discount vouchers I put it towards some nice new tools yesterday.
New Purchases were..

PS400 EBQ JIGSAW replacing a makita
EHL65 PLANER replacing a dewalt
CXS for me replacing a dewalt
CXS for apprentice his first gun!

To my delight and surprise the dealer very kindly threw in a new sys2 and sys5 systainer FOC after the domino tool that they originally inhabited was stolen from his display.
I have purchased a lot of tools from the supplier and appreciate his support but I think this very generous gift is exactly why he will keep my loyalty.
I'm hoping my dewalt brad nailer will fit into the sys5 and the sys2 will accommodate my Osc saw and a couple of other non festool tools.
I'm a very happy chappy.
Thanks John and Barry.

If you need another voucher just give me a shout  [big grin]  I have a paslode 1st and 2nd fix nail guns cramped into a systainer 4  [big grin] I must admit i got shot of the EHL65 and got a cordless Makita

Hi John

Can I ask why you went for the makita planner? I have the full 18v makita set up including planner, yet I'm thinking of the festool planner...

Hi James,
I don't use a electric planer all that often. Its a pain to get the planer, transformer, extension leads out just to plane a door down. I can't see any improvement in the Festool planer over the Makita. Apart from the quicker blade changing .

John..

Both existing makita and dewalt tools are in good condition but were in need of an upgrade sooner rather than later.
I have a new van on order and have been deliberating on how ill rack it out etc.
It's an easier layout with all tools in systainers...the box alone is £40ish and so that gets put towards the new tool instead and coupled with the £50 voucher it was a good time.
All said and done though both tools are a huge improvement and coupled with their potential add ons like splinter free cut on the 420 and the single blade and bench holder for the EH65 I'm confident my logic is sound.

I think I'll eBay the old stuff now redundant and use the paypal credit for festool stuff online!!
Win Win
