I am considering getting a new TS 75.  I currently have the 55 EQ, and have a bunch of rails.  The thought of having to pay for a rail that I would never use is what's keeping me from going forward with the purchase.  Is there any way to get it without the rail?

I think I have twenty miles of rail. And yet from time to time I seem to use it all.i even have some rail just set up for quick cuts. For example I have one set up with a 90 degree for short cuts. Just a thought.

As beed discussed here quite a few times,

TS75 comes with a 1900 rail. You would need that. Due its size it limits the 1400 rail.

So get the saw w/ the 1900 rail and sell your 1400 rail.
you will thank me later

I checked on this, and the answer is "only if your dealer is willing to credit the cost of the rail and then try to sell it on his own".  There is no allowance by Festool for a dealer to order/sell a TS without a rail.

I wanted a second TS 55, but already have too many rails.

FYI: I know that Bob Marino and Tom Bellemare (Tool-Home) would sell the TS without a rail. One thing to consider is the kurf difference between the TS75 and TS55R and that effect on the clear splintergaurd. I only have the TS75 but did consider the TS55R and this was brought to my attention. It may not be a factor, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I believe that TS saws have side to side adjustment, so that you can adjust a saw to fit a guide that's already been cut.
