All, I posted this a day early by mistake. It was not supposed to be offered as available for order until 12/1. So, after midnight these will be available for order on our website.

Apologies to Woodpeckers for the premature announcement on my part, and to our customers for the false start.

Shane

Other than the ability to mark the edge, do you think these are a significant upgrade over the flexible Incra rules?

Edward,
I have both but find myself picking up the Woodpeckers version most often. I don't have to worry about possibly bending that thin stainless material on the Incra. I also like the ability to mark two surfaces at the same time.

However, if you need to mark in 1/64" increments only the Incra will provide that option.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member] Thanks.  I don't use 64ths that often, but when I need them they are good to have -- though it's a PITA getting pencil tip in that small hole for the 64ths.  One additional thing i do like about the Incra is the ability to readjust the ruler depending on which side of the board you're working off of.  I suppose, though, that the solid metal of the Woodpecker rule makes deflection less likely.

A lot less likely... [big grin]
I purchased the Incra rules first because they were the only ones on the market at the time. I always had a bit of trouble with the thin stainless Incra rule wanting guillotine the tip of the lead if I wasn't really carefully. Overall I'm happier with the Woodpeckers version, but when you need 64ths...the Incra is the only game in town.

I forgot to add...the Incra can be used with .5mm lead only, while the Woodpeckers can be used with .5mm, .7mm and .9mm lead. The .5mm works really well for cabinets and hardwood, while the .9mm is better suited for softwood and fir.

Still available to order? I like to wait until the last minute I guess, but dont see them on the Tool Nut site any longer, and the provided link does not show them either. Please advise, I thought we had until tomorrow (Dec 21) on these... THANKS

[member=18038]copcarcollector[/member] sorry the website was set to take them down a day early. It's been fixed and you can now order them.

I couldn't help myself, so I just added the 4" to my order of the 12".  I figured the smallest one would be perfect for marking domino slots on narrow face frame members.

So, I'm new to the group.  Can you explain the "One Time"?  Are these limited productions runs?
That would be disappointing, to miss getting in on this by a few days.

First off,  [welcome] to the FOG.

Second item...yes they are limited production runs. Chat with [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] and he may still be able to set you up. Otherwise, I noticed they were still available on the Woodpeckers web site.

Yes, they are limited production. Woodpecker takes orders for a specific time period, then makes and delivers the product several months later. Some of the "One Time" tools have been made more than once.

As the deadline just passed, you might do as suggested and contact Shane or another dealer, or Woodpecker directly (www.woodpeck.com) and ask to be added to the order list. This has been done in the past. Also, when delivery is closer, Woodpecker has, in the past, been able to add orders to 'closed' One Time Tool productions.

Welcome to the FOG
