New Woodpeckers Squares Now Up

I have the Incra Guaranteed Square - 5" and 7" size.  They are great tools - thick and robust.  Just like the new Woodpecker squares.  If these were out when I bought my Incras I'd be all over them.  Right now, I'm eyeing their bigger brother - the 1281.

One caveat...  I also have the 12" Woodpeckers carpenters square (http://www.woodpeck.com/carpentertriangles.html , but no longer available).  Like the other Woodpeckers squares it has measurement scales.  I use my carpenters square and Incras for checking square and marking, but not measuring.  These squares' nice thick blades are not good for measuring because of parallax errors.

Regards,

Dan.

p.s. I use my Woodpecker's carpenter square for squaring rails to wood, especially plywood.  It's excellent for that.  OTOH, it's large and awkward to handle.  The 1281 would fill the gap between my Incra 7" and the Woodpecker carpenters square.

I have owned the Incra squares for many years.  If I remember correctly, they were also made by Woodpecker.

I believe the Woodpecker sells them.  I don't think they make them.  I bought mine at Woodcraft
